On Saturday, police apprehended and arrested six men after they executed a search warrant at a Mount Maria property.
It will be alleged they were allegedly working on the site and ran from the scene into nearby bushland before police chased and arrested them.
Two Victorian men, aged 45 and 48, and three from New South Wales, aged 28, 30, 38 and 26, have been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing drug utensils.
All were remanded in custody.
The 28-year-old is expected to appear in court next month, while the others are due to front court in October.
Detective Inspector Bradley Phelps praised the local community for helping police with their investigations.
“Information from the local community was vital in assisting us to investigate and successfully execute these warrants and seize cannabis with a combined value of $60 million,” he said.
